Developer API

LeadOutcome features a full suite of APIs that can allow you to reproduce the functionality of LeadOutcome within your own applications.

Need your application to track/score/capture leads? We can help.

Need your app to support automated marketing campaigns with work flow, call-to-actions, and more to support your team of sales reps.  We’ve got that covered, too.

While we’re still in the process of exposing all of LeadOutcome’s functionality, the core APIs are in place. We’ve provided a few quick-start guides so you can jump right in:

OAUTH 2.0

OAuth is an open standard for authorization. OAuth provides a method for clients to access server resources on behalf of a resource owner (such as a different client or an end-user). It also provides a process for end-users to authorize third-party access to their server resources without sharing their credentials (typically, a username and password pair), using user-agent redirections.

OAuth 2.0 is the next evolution of the OAuth protocol and is not backwards compatible with OAuth 1.0. OAuth 2.0 focuses on client developer simplicity while providing specific authorization flows for web applications, desktop applications, mobile phones, and living room devices

Facebook's new Graph API only supports OAuth 2.0. Google supports OAuth 2.0 as the recommended authentication mechanism for all of its APIs.

LeadOutcome fully supports OAuth 2.0 specification.

REST API

A RESTful web API (also called a RESTful web service) is a web API implemented using HTTP and REST principles. It is a collection of resources, with four defined aspects:

  • the base URI for the web API, such as http://example.com/resources/
  • the Internet media type of the data supported by the web API. This is often JSON but can be any other valid Internet media type provided that it is a valid hypertext standard.
  • the set of operations supported by the web API using HTTP methods (e.g., GET, PUT, POST, or DELETE)

LeadOutcome has implemented a REST API as well.
